Types of Haruhi Suzumiya Games for the Wii

In "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya," Wii game, the excitable Haruhi Suzumiya attends high school and expresses interest in aliens, time travelers and other supernatural beings more than humans. A classmate named Kyon finds himself growing closer to Haruhi. When she starts a group for "saving the world by overloading it with fun," Kyon and other students become unwilling participants in her goals.

Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekido

Also known as "The Excitement of Haruhi Suzumiya," "Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekido" was released for the Nintendo Wii in 2009. Unlike other games in the series, which focus on completing adventures, "The Excitement of Haruhi Suzumiya" centers on music and exercise. Players dance along with characters on-screen. While playing in "Story Mode," players can unlock hidden characters, secret items and other gadgets to complete the game.

Suzumiya Haruhi no Heiretsu

Released in 2009, Haruhi Suzumiya and a supporting cast of characters appear in "Suzumiya Haruhi no Heiretsu," also known as "The Parallel of Haruhi Suzumiya," in an adventure on a cruise ship. Occurring during the characters' summer vacation, the game features the voice actors from the anime series. The characters find themselves in a perpetual loop, reliving the same day again and again while Haruhi nearly becomes someone's bride. Throughout "Suzumiya Haruhi no Heiretsu," the characters struggle to get off the cruise liner and back into the regular world.

Other Nintendo Titles for "Haruhi Suzumiya"

Haruhi Suzumiya has appeared in another game released by Nintendo. "Suzumiya Haruhi no Chokuretsu," available for the Nintendo DS system, brings the player to Kyon's confusion over seven mysteries plaguing his school. Haruhi takes up the mystery and brings the members of her club along to figure out the connection between the mysteries. A role-playing game in 3-D, "Suzumiya Haruhi no Chokuretsu" was released in 2009.

Video Game History for "Haruhi Suzumiya"

In total, six games focusing on Haruhi Suzumiya have been released for the PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii and Nintendo DS. "The Promise of Haruhi Suzumiya" was released for the PSP in 2007. "The Perplexity of Haruhi Suzumiya" made its debut in 2008 on the PlayStation 2. "The Day of Sagittarius III" is a phone application players can download, released in 2010. "The Reminiscence of Haruhi Suzumiya" was released for the PlayStation 3 in 2011.
