The Top Places to Go in L.A. for Saint Patrick's Day

If you're ready to don your finest green duds and seek out a bit of Irish ale, Los Angeles has festivities both traditional and modern for your St. Paddy's day celebration. Whether you're ready to tie one on or enjoy leprechauns and shamrocks with your wee ones, anyone of any age can be, and should be, Irish for the day no matter where in the L.A. area you happen to reside.


The Auld Dubliner Irish Pub and Restaurant ( offers a more traditional Irish pub experience across California as well as in Nevada and Arizona. This includes locations in Long Beach and in Tustin. Along with Guinness you can order traditional Irish favorites like corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie and Irish beef stew. Finn McCool's ( in Santa Monica features annual holiday parties for St. Patrick's Day. This gastro pub offers 200 whiskeys and traditional Irish Fayre, and has live music for the occasion.


The LA St. Patrick's Day Festival ( is an All-You-Can-Drink extravaganza in Hollywood. For the price of your ticket you get to sample hundreds of spirits, beers and wines, and enjoy signature Hollywood foods like Pink's hot dogs or sushi along with live entertainment. For a more family oriented way to celebrate the Irish holiday, head on down to Hermosa Beach for their annual St. Patrick's Day parade ( In honor of the historical significance of St. Patrick's Day celebrations, which allowed Irish descendants to celebrate their heritage and religion with pride, the South Bay St. Patrick’s Day Parade allows participants of any ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or religion to get involved in the festivities.
