Toddler Pageants in California

Toddler pageants award prizes, trophies, cash and scholarships to young winners and runners up. Children compete in different categories, such as photogenic, talent, eye contact and grace. In 2010, the popular TLC show "Toddlers and Tiaras" featured California's Gold Coast Pageant. However, there are other California toddler pageants that enjoy statewide notoriety, including California Tropic, California Cinderella Pageant and NES California.

Gold Coast Pageants

California Gold Coast Pageants hosts several pageants throughout the year for boys and girls from birth through 11 years old for girls, and through age 13 for boys. Each pageant awards one winner and four runners up for each division. Toddler divisions include Tiny Tot Boys and Girls for 2 year olds, Petite Miss for girls age 3, Tiny Mister for boys ages 3 to 5 and Tiny Miss for girls ages 4 to 5. The entry fee is $200 per contestant.

California Tropic

California Tropic International Pageants, an affiliate of Hawaiian Tropic, holds pageants throughout California to search for the next Little Mister and Miss Hawaiian Tropic. Winners represent a variety of products, such as sunscreen and after sun lotion. Different divisions are open to children ages birth through 4, with one winner in each and five runners up. Entry fees range from $100 to $150 depending upon the number of categories entered.

California Cinderella Pageant

The California Cinderella Pageant hosts pageants for females ages birth through age 26. The toddler division, Cinderella Tots, is for girls ages 3 to 6. Competition categories include an interview, formal and casual wear modeling, talent and photogenic. Winners and runners up receive educational savings bonds, cash prizes, trophies, crowns and/or banners, depending upon placement and category.

NES California

NES Pageants is a nationwide pageantry organization that hosts a variety of toddler pageants throughout the United States. In 2011, NES California is hosting the Little Miss Strawberry Pageant and Pageant in the Park. The toddler age division is for girls ages 3 to 5. Categories include poise, grace, beauty eye contact and smile. Entry fees range from $45 to $55, depending on number of photos.
