Manteca is home to the Delicato vineyards, the fourth largest family-owned winery in the world. Delicato produces six varietals, some of which have won awards in both national and international competitions. Manteca is about six miles from Napa Valley, one of the country's hot spots for wineries. Nearby Napa Valley wineries include Frazer Winery, Farella-Park Vineyards, Adastra Vineyards, Ross Vineyards, Regusci Winery and more.

Sports and Recreation

Big League Dreams is a sports complex located in the city of Manteca. It has six replica professional baseball diamonds, including dugouts and bleachers. It also has batting cages and a covered pavilion. Manteca also has a BMX bike track, a skateboard park, lighted tennis courts that are open at night and golf courses located in and around the city, including the Manteca Park Municipal Golf Course. An annual senior Olympic games contest is held in Manteca, in which senior citizens square off in athletic competition. Manteca is known as the "Family City," because there are a number of nearby family-oriented attractions. Each year, Manteca has the Crossroads Street Faire located in the streets of downtown. The fair features hundreds of street vendors who sell arts and crafts, food, antiques and more. The annual Pumpkin Faire is held in October. Besides pumpkins, the Pumpkin Faire features craft and food vendors, music, a truck show, a carnival and more. Food lovers may appreciate Restaurant Week, when local restaurants offer three-course meals to customers at a discounted menu price.

Shopping

Manteca is home to Bass Pro Shops' Outdoor World, the largest Bass Pro Shop in the Western states. Multiple retailers, including Best Buy, Costco, Home Depot, JC Penney, Kohl's, Office Max, PetSmart and more, have locations in Manteca. The Manteca Shopping Center is a strip mall located in downtown Manteca that is home to a variety of retailers.
