The neighborhood of Brandon in the Tampa Bay area is just minutes east of downtown Tampa on the west coast of Florida, with a growing residential and retail sector. It is also located less than an hour's drive from entertainment venues like Busch Gardens, the Salvador Dali Museum and Florida Gulf beaches. Hotels in this area are situated near State Route 60, which provides a direct route to Clearwater Beach and eight others along the bay.

Brand-Name Hotels

For those who choose to stay in Brandon, finding a hotel will not be difficult. Recognizable lodging brands are clustered within a few miles of each other near the major routes that run through the area, including Interstate 75, as well as State Route 60. Holiday Inn Express has a hotel just off I-75, adjacent to Time Warner and near prominent companies in the Sable Park business center. The La Quinta Inn on Grand Regency Boulevard has a large movie theater complex across the street and offers golf packages in conjunction with popular courses nearby.

Extended Stay Hotels

Homestead Studio Suites is a brand of Extended Stay America, known as an economy choice with full kitchen facilities. The property in Brandon is on Grand Regency Boulevard, just off State Route 60. SpringHill Suites by Marriott also has a property in the Brandon area on South Falkenburg Road. It is an all-suites hotel located near major businesses like Trane and Progressive. Embassy Suites by Hilton in Brandon offers an upscale option for extended stays in the area, with two-room suites, full kitchens and a complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast.

Bed and Breakfast Inn

For an alternative to standard hotel facilities, Behind the Fence Bed & Breakfast Inn is nestled between towering pine and Florida oak trees that border a county park. The facility, designed in a New England salt box architectural style, is decorated with early New England antiques and Amish furnishings. Breakfast is served every morning, with home-made Amish sweet rolls taking center stage in the culinary spread. Accommodations are in either the main house or separate cabins with porches.

Economy Hotels

Those wishing to save a few dollars have some options in Brandon as well. The Red Roof Inn has a convenient location just off I-75 and SR 60, within walking distance of several well-known restaurant chains. The Brandon Motor Lodge is situated directly on SR 60, which is called East Brandon Boulevard as it passes through this section of the city. It offers basic lodging, but with some desirable amenities like Internet access and a swimming pool. The Best Western Brandon shares the same street, but farther east where the name changes yet again, to East Adamo Drive. This hotel has a conference center as well as a 24-hour fitness facility.
