The Syntax for How to Enter "Fallout: New Vegas"

by Joshua Laud

With a game such as "Fallout: New Vegas," the role-playing computer game developed by Bethesda Softworks, you can enter cheat syntax into the game. "Fallout: New Vegas," like many games of its ilk, has a console that can be opened, where you can type text-based commands for it to perform certain operations. After you have entered the console, you can do many things, such as change parameters or enter cheats. There is a single key-press to open the syntax of "Fallout: New Vegas."

Step 1

Start your "Fallout: New Vegas" game as you usually would.

Step 2

Press the "tilde" (~) key at any stage, when unpaused, to open the Fallout syntax. This key is typically located just below the "Esc" key, to the left of the "1" key.

Step 3

Wait a moment for the console to open to enter your commands.

Step 4

Press "Esc" to exit. Use the tilde key syntax to open the console again.
