Storing music on your phone ensures that you always have your favorite music with you. The HTC EVO can store a variety of media files on the MicroSD card included with the phone. You can upgrade to a card with more storage or carry extra cards, if you wish to store more music. Getting your music onto your phone is simple and does not require any special software, as you can handle the entire process with the Windows file manager.

Connect one end of the USB cable to your EVO.
Connect the other end of the cable to a USB port on your computer. A window will appear on your EVO screen with a number of options for how you would like the phone to interact with the computer.

If there is not already a Music folder, right-click in the blank area of the window and choose "New" and "Folder," then type "Music" (without the quotes) for the folder name and press "Enter." After you have created the Music folder, double-click to open it.
Click the "Start" button and click "Computer" once again to open a new file manager window. Navigate to the location of your music files.
