The St. Petersburg area appeals to tourists with warm weather and attractions near Tampa Bay. This community is home to Major League Baseball’s Tampa Bay Rays as well as the Salvador Dali Museum. Travelers passing through the city find everything from mansions in Roser Park to eclectic buildings in the Old Northeast neighborhood. Hoteliers in the St. Petersburg area have responded to the influx of tourists each year with a wide variety of accommodations.

Historic Hotels

Historic hotels in the St. Petersburg area reflect the region’s growth in the early 20th century. Travelers are brought back to 1921 as soon as they venture into the lobby at the Pier Hotel. This property decorates each guest room with paintings of Florida locales and reproductions of antique furniture. Guests at Grayl’s Hotel are able to view Tampa Bay and the marina from their spacious suites. This historic hotel celebrates its Roaring '20s origins with the Prohibition Club and Gatsby’s Pizza Parlor, accessible from the lobby.
