The bustling hub of the tech sector, San Jose and adjacent Cupertino serve as a locus for business travelers and executives. As a result, the city boasts a surprising number of top-end luxury hotels. As might be expected, these hotels cater primarily to the jet-setting crowd, so things like high-speed Internet, room service and concierge service are paramount. Many also include excellent restaurants, world-class gym and pool facilities, and extensive car services.

Moorpark Hotel

Four miles from downtown San Jose, the Moorpark Hotel offers a quieter, off-the-beaten-path experience of San Jose luxury. The hotel has an ultra-modern design, built along the lines of a club or high-end restaurant, with red leather, hardwood floors and distinctive mood lighting throughout. Service is paramount here, with a trained staff possessing a detailed knowledge of San Jose, always ready to help get tickets to a show, arrange a wine tour, or find the perfect meal. The on-site Park Bar and Grill serves up American cuisine overlooking the hotel’s courtyard.

Cypress Hotel

Located in nearby Cupertino, many visitors to San Jose opt to stay at the Cypress Hotel for its unparalleled luxury. Styled after an opulent Italian villa, the Cypress Hotel is located at the foot of the Santa Cruz mountains and matches traditional furniture and antiques with modern lighting and spacious floor plans to create a truly elegant experience. In addition to being one of the most luxurious hotels in the area, the Cypress Hotel also is one of the greenest, with extensive recycling, water conservation, organic product lines and an overall dedication to eco-living via its EarthCare program. Cypress Hotel also is consistently listed as one of the top pet-friendly destinations in California, with a flexible pet policy.

Hotel de Anza

A business-traveler's dream just a short drive from San Jose International Airport, the Hotel de Anza offers clean, well-appointed rooms in an affordable-luxury mode. Suites at the hotel include Jacuzzi tubs and large sitting parlors, and the Penthouse Suite on the top story has balconies on both sides, a steam room, wet bar, Jacuzzi, wood-burning fireplace and plenty of room for entertaining for business or pleasure. La Pastaia, the on-site restaurant, offers traditional Italian food and an extensive wine list focusing on Italian and Californian wines.

Hotel Valencia Santana Row

Santana Row is the Silicon Valley’s answer to a petit Paris: quiet streets lined with boutique shops, cafes and world-class restaurants. The Hotel Valencia blends in seamlessly, with its old-world charm in a new-world wrapper. Everything from the hardwood paneling to plush red carpets to marble floors speaks of luxury, and technological sophistication makes it a dream for a business traveler. The continental breakfast served in the Citrus Restaurant pulls out all the stops, and the modern Vbar stays open until 2 a.m. Valet parking is available, and the hotel is just a few blocks from the bustling downtown of San Jose and a short drive from San Jose International Airport.
