How to Do a Right Grab on "Wii Ski" Snowboard

by Iam Jaebi, Demand Media

"We Ski and Snowboard" is a game for the Wii console that goes by many names. It's also known as "Family Ski World: Ski and Snowboard" in Asia and "Family Ski & Snowboard" in parts of Europe. The game is a followup to Wii's "We Ski," adding the ability to achieve radical moves on a snowboard as well as skis. Snowboards add a new dynamic to the game and moves such as the "right grab" are unique to snowboarding but requires a set of commands.

    Step 1

Hold the Wii remote in your right hand as you play. This helps you remember the side of the avatar body that is controlled when performing the right grab.

    Step 2

Stand with a secure balance on the Wii balance board. Maintain eye contact with your avatar on the screen and oncoming obstacles.

    Step 3

Press "A" and "B" (trigger) buttons on the Wii remote simultaneously. This initiates the right grab, but your forward momentum in the game continues. Keep your balance and direction.

    Step 4

Keep your stance on the balance board as the avatar soars. Release the "A" and "B" (trigger) buttons as your avatar moves back toward the ground.

    Step 5

Repeat steps two and three in to attempt multiple right grabs. Press the "C" and "Z" buttons on the Nunchuk to alternate with a left grab.
