Places to Rent Out in Richmond, Kentucky for a Party

by Stephanie Steensma

Planning the perfect celebration in Richmond, Kentucky, starts with the venue. Choosing a location should be based on space requirements, budget constraints, availability, age appropriateness and overall ambiance. Whether you seek a location for a child's birthday party that accommodates clowns and balloons or an elegant and refined space for a wedding reception, Richmond has the place for you.

The Bull at Boone's Trace Golf Club

The banquet hall at the area's public golf course, the Bull Golf Club (thebullgolf.com), specializes in wedding receptions but is open to all parties. Baby and wedding showers, formal dances, birthday and engagement parties, and corporate meetings all could be held there. The on-site catering service offers food and beverage service ranging from appetizers to multi-course meals to desserts.

June Morning

June Morning (june-morning.com) provides guests with more than 3,000 square feet of space that accommodates up to 200 people. Parties hosting fewer than 200 feel right at home, as well, as the banquet facility can be customized to nearly any size. June Morning also offers rental space by the day or the hour, but all parties must be wrapped up by midnight. The facility has plenty of parking, as well as a sound system and dance floor to help bring the party to life.

Richmond Parks

The Richmond Parks and Recreation Department (parks.richmond.ky.us) offers 11 outdoor party locations in city parks featuring playgrounds, picnic shelters and space to run and play. The city also owns and runs Paradise Cove, a water park, and Adventure Falls, a miniature golf course, which offer party room rentals, as well. Rental of all Parks Department facilities is arranged through the Richmond Parks Department. However, once open for the season, Paradise Cove and Adventure Falls handles reservations directly.

Hilton Lexington/Downtown

The downtown location makes the Hilton Lexington/Downtown (lexingtondowntownhotel.com) a 30-minute trip to Richmond. With approximately 16,000 square feet of party and meeting space available, this venue is capable of hosting parties of all sizes for all occasions. Accommodating up to 1,000 people, the Hilton Lexington/Downtown is one of the largest venues in the area. The staff regularly coordinates banquets, receptions, parties, social events and galas in the 13 meeting rooms, ballrooms and banquet halls.
