by Laurie Rappeport, Demand Media

Children still run around playgrounds playing tag but many kids, teens and even adults enjoy the more high-tech "laser tag." Laser tag players shoot each other with hand-held targeting devices which emit an infrared signal when the shooter scores a "hit." A game of laser tag can take place either indoors or outdoors. People Seattle can play laser tag in a variety of locations.

    Funplex

Head to the Seattle Funplex (1541 15th Ave. West, Seattle, 98119) for a game of laser tag. Kids and adults may play laser tag at the center. The Funplex offers sports and family recreation activities with an indoor air pistol shooting range, a softball batting cage, bumper cars and video games. The center prices each activity individually.

    Games2U

Play laser tag at home by contacting the Kent franchise of Games2U (g2u.com). Games2U will bring two full sets of laser tag equipment to your house. Each Games2U laser tag experience can accommodate up to 20 players. Games2U will come to your house to set up your yard or another outdoor venue for the laser tag game. A game coach is present at all times to assist with any questions or technical needs.

    Laser Tag Live

Laser Tag Alive (lasertaglive.com) in Shoreline, Washington, about 16 minutes outside of Seattle, will set up laser tag battlefields within indoor sites including office buildings, churches and community center gyms. Laser Tag Live provides inflatable barriers to enhance the laser tag battle and allow players to take cover like on a real battlefield. The Laser Tag Live set-up comes with three different models of laser tag guns.

Laser Quest (laserquest.com) in Federal Way, about 28 minutes south of Seattle, creates an imaginative atmosphere for kids and adults who come to play laser tag in Laser Quest's multi-level arena.
