by Adam Johnson, Demand Media

Children's birthday parties are fun-filled affairs featuring cake, presents and entertainment designed to make the birthday child feel like the most important person in the world on that day. Nashville, Tennessee, and the surrounding Middle Tennessee area feature birthday party venues that can make their special day even more memorable through unique experiences they will remember for years.

    Nashville Sounds

The Nashville Sounds are the AAA minor-league baseball affiliate for the Milwaukee Brewers, and Greer Stadium offers baseball-themed children's birthday parties. The birthday child's day starts with a party in a special birthday area, featuring hot dogs, soda and a birthday cake. The birthday guest of honor also receives a souvenir Nashville Sounds baseball and a visit from the official mascot, Ozzie. Guests also receive tickets to the game, and the birthday child will have his birthday recognized over the public announcement system as the entire stadium sings "Happy Birthday."

    Nashville Shores

Nashville Shores is a water park that features several water-themed rides, slides, rivers and wave pools for kids of all ages. They also host birthday parties and were named Best Kids Party Place in Nickelodeon's 2009 Parents' Pick Awards. The park features two birthday party options. The splash package includes a party picnic area for the day, admission tickets for each guest (including one free chaperone ticket) and vouchers for a choice of hamburger or hot dog, potato chips and small soft drink or personal pizza and small soft drink at any concession stand in the park. The Saturday picnic and play package includes all of the amenities of the splash package plus an all-you-can-eat buffet.

    Adventure Science Center, Nashville

The Adventure Science Center in Nashville first opened its doors as a children's museum in 1944 as a way to get kids excited about science. Since then, the museum has expanded and added a planetarium, as well as several other fun and educational exhibits and hands-on activities. Every Saturday and Sunday, the science center also hosts birthday parties. Parents have the option of the basic package, which includes a party room and admission to the science center for the guests, or the deluxe package, which also includes cake, punch, plates, utensils, tickets for a future visit and a special gift for the birthday child.

The Fun and Party Zone, Spring Hill
