Center of Science and Industry

Your young scientist will enjoy the birthday party you have for him at the Center of Science and Industry in Columbus (cosi.org). Hands-on activities will keep all of the party guests engaged and learning at the same time. Little Gym

The Little Gym (thelittlegym.com) in Columbus is a good place to have your 3 year old's party, as well. When you rent the Little Gym, you do not have to do any of the setup or cleanup, and you have the whole gym to yourselves to run around and play in . Titled the Awesome Birthday Bash, the Little Gym is a place where your child can jump, roll, tumble and just run around on his birthday. His friends can join him, making the party extra special.

Magic Mountain

Magic Mountain Fun Centers (magicmountainfuncenter.com) have two locations in Columbus and offer Basic, Spectacular and Ultimate birthday packages. They take care of the details so your birthday kid can enjoy playing to her heart's content and eating all the pizza she can handle. Go-karts, miniature golf, a climbing playground and bumper boats are just some of the activities the guests and your child can enjoy. The prices are $12 per person for the Basic package at the time of publication, $16 per person for the Spectacular package and $22 per person for the Ultimate birthday party package. Add-ons, such as balloons and extra game tokens, are also available.

Parks

If you want to enjoy the outdoors and save some money, get a permit from the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department (parks.columbus.gov) to rent a pavilion at a park for an afternoon. The guests can enjoy the shade and visiting, while children run around and play on the playground. You will have to bring your own supplies, do the decorating and cleanup when everyone leaves. A permit is required if you have more than 10 people at your child's party.
