Stretching from Astoria to Brookings, the Oregon Coast covers 363 miles of coastline, with hidden beaches, cozy towns and pristine parks. You can find many pet-friendly accommodations among the resorts, hotels and other lodging options scattered along the coast, as well as at the many public campgrounds and natural sites near the shoreline.

Relax in rustic elegance with your best friend at the Salishan Lodge and Golf Resort, located in Gleneden Beach. Canine guests receive doggie bags upon check-in that contain dog biscuits and other treats. Clean blankets are also available upon request. Stay in three-diamond comfort with your pet at the Hallmark Resort in Newport, which offers a treat bag, pet sheets and exercise area for dogs. Soak in stunning ocean views at the pet-friendly Adobe Resort, tucked into the rocky shoreline just north of Yachats, or choose from among 179 pet-friendly rooms at the Shilo Inn Suites Hotel, an oceanfront resort in Newport.

The Yachats Inn, a rustic lodge dating from 1948, has 19 pet-friendly rooms, as well as blankets and towels for four-footed guests. At the Fireside Motel, also located in Yachats, gift packs include dog treats, towels and sheets upon check-in. Choose from eight pet-friendly rooms at the Best Western Agate Beach Inn, which overlooks Agate Beach and the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Other pet-friendly hotels include Cannery Pier Hotel and Hotel Elliott in Astoria, Oregon Trail Lodge in Gold Beach, The Table Rock Motel in Bandon, Red Lion Hotel in Coos Bay and Park Motel in Florence.

Stay in homey comfort at Sand Castle Lodging in Cannon Beach, which has both a pet-friendly, four-bedroom house and smaller cottage for rent within walking distance from Cannon Beach. In Lincoln City, choose from four pet-friendly rentals at the Sea Horse Oceanfront Lodging and Vacation Rentals, which also offers smaller guest rooms. Four-footed guests receive a welcome cookie upon check-in. At the Edgewater Cottages in Waldport, you and your best friend can head out to explore eight miles of sandy shoreline or tuck in for the evening with a warm fire and a fully stocked kitchen.

You can get back to nature at one of the many pet-friendly campgrounds scattered along the Oregon Coast. Reserve a rustic cabin at the Alfred A. Loeb State Park, rich in dog-approved swimming holes, and at the Cape Blanco State Park, nestled near a black sand beach. Other pet-friendly campgrounds include the North Coast’s Fort Stevens State Park, Saddle Mountain State Natural Area and the Oswald West State Park. Along the Central and South Coast, stay at pet-friendly campgrounds that include Harris Beach State Park, Sunset Bay State Park, Humbug Mountain State Park, Cape Perpetua and Beachside State Recreation Site.
