The Finger Lakes region of New York is filled with picturesque mountains and water, as well as over 100 wineries. It would be impossible to explore this area in a day, so consider staying in a motel, even with your pet. The services of a pet-friendly motel vary from providing food and bedding for your small dog or cat to simply allowing you to keep the animal in the room. Extra charges may apply and the motel can change the terms whenever they choose, so call just before your trip to confirm that your pet is still welcome.
Finger Lakes Inn
The Finger Lakes Inn has been providing pet-friendly accommodations in Canandaigua since 1979. The options here range from small rooms with one double bed to suites with kitchens. The Finger Lakes Inn has its own indoor activity center with games. Play with your pet outdoors, where there is a pool and basketball court.
Miami Motel
The pet- and family-friendly friendly Miami Motel is also in the Finger Lakes region of Candandaigua. The Floridian-inspired rooms have either two double beds or one queen, with a small refrigerator in each and Jacuzzi tubs in some. High-speed Internet is available in Miami Motel rooms.
Scottish Inn
Within the Finger Lakes city of Manchester, the Scottish Inn offers pet-friendly rooms, continental breakfast and high-speed Internet. The motel is near Finger Lakes Gaming and Racing, Roseland Water Park and the outlet stores at Waterloo. Rooms have double-, queen- or king-sized beds. Discounts are given at the Scottish Inn for AAA, AARP and Military.
Motel 6 Geneva
Motel 6 offers a pet-friendly accommodation in Geneva, just a mile from Seneca Lake Park and near many of the region's wineries. This Finger Lakes motel offers free Wi-Fi, cable television and local phone calls in rooms, which have either two full or one queen bed.
Budget Inn Farmington
At the Budget Inn in Farmington, find pet-friendly rooms with cable television and refrigerators. Accommodations include either two queen beds or one king bed. The motel is near skiing and golf, and is close to Canandaigua Lake and Sonnenberg Gardens. Discounts are available for seniors and AAA members.
America’s Best Value Inn
America’s Best Value Inn has motels in the Finger Lakes Region cities of Farmington and Geneva that both offer pet-friendly accommodations. Both of these America’s Best Value Inns offer free high-speed Internet, microwaves and refrigerators in the room. They also have Jacuzzi suites available. The Geneva location is within walking distance to a golf course.
