Pet-Friendly Mississippi Hotels

Mississippi lives up to its name, “The Hospitality State,” by welcoming visitors to its scenic locales. Numerous Mississippi hotels welcome guests traveling with pets. The majority of these accommodations charge an additional pet fee and have designated rooms for pet owners. Pets can accompany their owners as they frolic along the Gulf of Mexico or explore the pine forests of Mississippi.

The Capital/River Region

Vicksburg’s Quality Inn & Suites is three miles from the Vicksburg Historic District and four miles from several casinos including Isle of Capri and Ameristar. It accepts two 25-lb. pets per room for a nightly fee. Hotel amenities include an outdoor pool, ice cream in the lobby, evening popcorn and two meeting rooms. Quality Inn offers smoking and non-smoking rooms, several with microwaves and desks. Jackson-Brandon Red Roof Inn and Suites is four miles from the Jackson International Airport and walking distance of restaurants. The hotel allows one pet per room at no additional charge. Pet owners must never leave pets alone in guest rooms. Guest rooms have standard amenities including Internet access.

Hills Region

Residence Inn Memphis Southaven is an extended-stay hotel in the Southaven/Memphis area, and it offers free shuttle service to and from Memphis International Airport. Residence Inn accepts pets in its suites for a non-refundable cleaning fee. It offers grocery shopping service, restaurant delivery and evening receptions. All suites have full kitchens, sofa beds and two telephones. Select suites have two bedrooms. Days Inn Oxford is a mile from area landmarks such as Oxford's Historic Town Square, the Confederate Cemetery and author William Faulkner’s home. Guests can take a scenic day trip to Elvis Presley’s birthplace in Tupelo, 45 miles away. Days Inn accepts pets for a daily fee. The hotel can provide microwave ovens upon request.

Delta Region

Royal Inn & Suites is less than five miles from Tunica casinos including Bally, Horseshoe and Harrah’s Casino Resort. Midsouth Shuttle Services provides transportation to casinos, shopping centers and the Memphis airport. A daily fee is added to your room rate for pets. Hotel amenities include 24-hour room service, a fitness center and barbeque grill. Select guest rooms have whirlpool tubs. Key West Inn - Tunica Resort is less than a mile from River Front Park, a 168-acre park with an observation deck overlooking the Mississippi River, a museum, nature trails and outdoor exhibits. It accepts dogs and cats of 35 lbs. or less for a non-refundable fee. Pets are not allowed in the lobby, elevators or pool. All guest rooms have refrigerators and Internet access.

Pines Region/Coastal Region

Best Western of Meridian sits on a six-acre landscaped property with a jogging track, only three miles from the Dentzel Carousel, which is one of only eight in the world. The hotel accepts pets less than 20 lbs. for a non-refundable fee. It has an outdoor pool, fax service and truck/RV parking. Guest rooms offer standard amenities like Internet access and cable television. Biloxi’s Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, a AAA Four Diamond hotel, offers 24-hour entertainment, which includes more than 1,200 slot machines and gaming tables. The hotel has a tropical pool, floating beds and spa treatments. It allows dogs or cats up to 25 lbs.; pet owners pay a non-refundable fee. Select suites have 42-inch plasma televisions and rock ‘n’ roll themed rooms.
