Visitors to Fredericksburg in northwest Virginia will find a quaint downtown and historic district with 18th and 19th century buildings. The town offers a handful of pet-friendly hotels with convenient access to the local attractions, including the Kenmore Plantation, Marye House and Fredericksburg Dog Park.

Best Western

The Best Western, a mile west of downtown Fredericksburg, offers access to I-95. The modern brick-and-stone-constructed hotel offers pet-friendly rooms for a $10 nightly fee with no restrictions on size. Accommodations include a spacious floor plan, complimentary breakfast and access to a seasonal outdoor pool. The hotel is in the Westwood Shopping Plaza, offering walking access to several eateries, including Lone Star Steak House, Bob Evans and Carlos O’Kelly’s Mexican Cafe.

Residence Inn

The Residence Inn is adjacent to the Spotsylvania Mall and two miles from historic downtown Fredericksburg. The mall offers many retail stores and eateries within walking distance, including Costco, Bravo Cucina Italiana and the Green Turtle Sports Bar. Pets are allowed for a $100 nonrefundable sanitation fee. Studio rooms and one- and two-bedroom suites include modern decor, an ergonomic work desk and access to a hot breakfast buffet. Amenities include an outdoor patio with fire pit where guest can exercise their pets, and an indoor pool area.

Best Western Central Plaza

Located across the street from the Central Park Shopping Plaza, the Best Western features sidewalk access to a wealth of one-of-a-kind shops and eateries, including Chipotle Mexican Grill and the Wawa Food Market. The modern three-story hotel offers pet-friendly accommodations for a $10 nightly fee. Guests will enjoy complimentary breakfast, exterior entrances and a wooded area where guests can walk their pets. Alum Springs Park is less than a mile to the southwest and offers wooded walking trails that are pet friendly.

Quality Inn

Quality Inn, just off I-95, offers convenient access to the University of Mary Washington less than a mile to the east. Guests will find pet-friendly rooms for pets under 30 lbs. with a $10 nightly fee. The hotel offers low-cost, well-appointed rooms with access to a complimentary breakfast area, business center and outdoor dog walking area. Guests will find a variety of eateries within two blocks, including Vinny’s Italian Grill and Mexico Lindo Restaurant.
