Niagara Falls, New York, is home to a section of Niagara Falls, a world-famous waterfall that was formed about 12,000 years ago. The city also has an aquarium, a scuba-diving center, a haunted house, a winter activities park, a casino, a stuntmen museum, wax and science museums and state parks. Some hotels in Niagara Falls that do not permit pets are representative of luxury, budget and historic accommodations.

The Giacomo

The Giacomo hotel sits in a building that has been around since 1929; the structure has a combination Mayan-Revival and Art-Deco design. The Giacomo is within walking distance of Niagara Falls State Park and the Aquarium of Niagara. A shuttle service transports guests to destinations within five miles of the hotel. The all-apartment boutique hotel combines old world, elegant and modern touches, including a bar with oversized red stools, public rooms and apartments with Mayan-style statues and artwork, walls decorated with brown and yellow triangular patterns, apartments with stone fireplaces and a lobby with a winding staircase and a chandelier. The hotel hosts a daily cocktail reception in its lounge, and has a butler service. Apartments come with platform beds and luxury bath products. Hotel packages include gift certificates to nearby fine-dining restaurants; tickets to attractions at Niagara Falls State Park; Niagara Falls souvenirs and gift bags with hotel ponchos and snacks; coupon books for the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls; or a day of golf at a nearby course with golf cart rental.

Holiday Inn Niagara Falls

Also within a short walk of Niagara Falls State Park, the Holiday Inn Niagara Falls is within a 10-mile drive of Marineland Theme Park, Old Fort Niagara and the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center. A sundeck with patio furniture and a ceiling decorated with bright designs; a bar with tall wooden tables; and a restaurant with tables and oversized leather chairs enhance the cozy ambiance of the hotel. An indoor pool and hot tub sits in an area below the sundeck, and the on-site fitness center is open 24 hours a day. A lobby café serves sandwiches and soups, and the American-style restaurant delivers menu items to guest rooms. Guests have a choice of playing a game of darts at the on-site bar or trying interactive video games at the arcade. Suites come with stereo systems and full-size refrigerators with icemakers, and guest rooms and suites have Starz channels.

Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel

The Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel is within walking distance of Niagara Falls State Park and the Niagara’s Wax Museum of History. A casino with a balcony filled with slot machines, blackjack and craps tables and a poker room, and a nightclub with colorful designs, a wraparound balcony and a live-entertainment venue with stadium seating add to the hotel’s glitzy atmosphere. The nightclub regularly hosts live musicians. A spa offers private rooms for couples, locker rooms and a beauty salon, and also provides robes and slippers upon request. The fitness center has weight-lifting equipment and indoor hot tubs. You have a choice of eating at a steak and seafood restaurant, an Asian-style noodle restaurant, a fine-dining Italian establishment or a deli with baked goods and signature sandwiches. Guest rooms and suites have flat-screen TVs, living rooms with fireplaces, hot tubs, furnished balconies or armoires. Hotel packages come with pretzels, chips and beers; bottles of champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries and rose petals; glasses of milk and cookies; or chicken wings, potato skins, chips and spinach artichoke dip.

Crowne Plaza Hotel Niagara Falls

The Crowne Plaza Hotel Niagara Falls is within one-half mile of Niagara Falls State Park and less than 10 miles from the Daredevil Museum and De Veaux Woods State Park. Suites with wooden tables and bars, a grill restaurant with leather arm chairs and an intimate lobby lounge with red couches enhance the hominess of the hotel. The hotel has an on-site tour-booking service for Niagara Falls trips, and the grill restaurant offers room service. The business center provides a guest computer with high-speed Internet access and the fitness center has free weights. Suites come with CD players, desks with office chairs and separate dining room and living room areas.
