New Hampshire offers a handful of romantic inns that welcome both pets and their owners. Scattered around the Granite State, these charming inns hold true to the spirit of New England by marrying tradition with contemporary comforts. The Snowflake Inn is in the White Mountain district of New Hampshire. The inn houses 17 suites, each featuring a king-size bed, Jacuzzi and double-headed two-person shower. Zeek, the innkeepers' black lab, welcomes other furry guests. Two dogs of any size are allowed per room at a rate of $25 per night. The inn offers a number of romantic specials, including the "Candles and Petals" special in which a candlelit bath is drawn, rose petals are scattered about the room, and champagne is put on ice for you and your sweetheart.
The Glynn House
Located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, the Glynn House is an elegant bed and breakfast with 13 guest rooms. Many of the rooms have fireplaces, and each is decorated uniquely, with antique furniture and artwork. Four of the guest rooms are designated for pet-friendly visits, and your four-legged friend will be greeted with a toy and pet treats. Dog beds, dishes and a floor mat will be waiting in your room upon arrival. Guests can pick among the hotel's ala carte "Special Touches" options, which include chocolate-dipped strawberries, chilled champagne, in-room massages, a snow picnic basket package and a dozen roses.
Lazy Dog Inn
The Lazy Dog Inn prides itelf on being a "truly dog friendly bed and breakfast." The inn's golden retrievers, Molly and Meghan, greet other pet companions upon arrival. Doggy daycare is provided at no extra charge in the "Doggie Lodge" and fenced play area, giving owners a break and a chance to take advantage of the romantic scenery. Guests are encouraged to go on hikes in the White Mountain and Lakes regions after enjoying a full complimentary breakfast at the inn.
Lamie's Inn was built in 1740 and has been family-owned and operated ever since. Each of the rooms is decorated in traditional colonial style, but guests are welcome to modern conveniences such as 24-hour fitness center access, digital cable, air conditioning, a microwave and a mini refrigerator. The pet-friendly package grants guests a one-day pass to the Play All Day Doggie Daycare and doggy treats, as well as breakfast and 10 percent off room service for the humans. Additional pet services such as grooming and dog walking are available upon request. A romance package includes chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne upon arrival, dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Old Salt, and late checkout.
