Pet Friendly Portland Hotels

Portland is full of hotels that reflect the city's quirky sensibilities and independent spirit, and many of these establishments are pet-friendly. From basic accommodations to luxury boutique hotels, you and your four-legged friend have a range of choices when it comes to spending the night in the City of Roses.

Budget Hotels

The Red Lion Hotel Portland Airport allows two pets of any size at a rate of $20 per stay for both pets. The hotel offers basic accommodations with free wireless Internet access and a 24-hour airport shuttle. Other pet-friendly budget accommodations include the Best Western Inn at the Meadows, which welcomes two pets under 25 pounds for a fee of $25 per night for both animals, and La Quinta Inn Portland Convention Center, which has no fee, weight restriction or limits to the number of pets per room.

Hip Hotels

Once a motor lodge, the Jupiter Hotel now houses 81 Ikea-chic guest rooms that come with chalkboard-painted doors and colorful floor-to-ceiling wall murals. The Jupiter welcomes up to two pets at a fee of $30 per night, per pet. The Ace Hotel, in the Pearl District, features artwork by local artists and art students, with vintage books, suitcases and record players as nightstands and decor. Up to two dogs of any size are allowed at no fee.

Eco-Friendly Hotels

The sustainability and green practices at the Nines Portland earned it silver certification for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Guests are allowed two dogs, whose weight totals less than 80 pounds, for no additional fee. The Hotel Vintage Plaza was named by Rez Hub for being one of the greenest hotels in Portland for its conservation practices, from big construction projects to everyday cleaning product selection. No fees, weight restrictions or limitations on number of pets per room exist for the hotel. Both The Nines and Hotel Vintage Plaza are luxury hotels in addition to being eco-friendly.

Luxury Hotels

The Hotel Monaco Portland welcomes four-legged friends with a host of amenities, including pet massages, food bowls for use in the hotel, treats, a pet psychic and dog-walking services. Guests are not charged any additional fees for pets, and there is no restriction on the weight or number of pets allowed per room. The Heathman Hotel offers human guests the choice of three mattress types: European featherbed, European pillowtop and TempurPedic, while offering furry friends accommodations at a rate of $35 per night, per pet. Hotel deLuxe takes guests back to Hollywood's gilded age with art deco-style accommodations. Two dogs of any size are allowed per guest room at a fee of $45 per stay for both dogs.
