Party Places for Little Girls in Gwinnett, Georgia

by Rebecca Brogdon

Hosting a birthday party away from home eases the stress of party planning for mom and often receives rave reviews from the birthday girl and her guests. Gwinnett County, a suburb of Atlanta, has many options for little girls who want to take their birthday parties on the road. With all of the opportunities available, the only challenge is picking only one location!

Snip-Its Haircuts for Kids

Snip-Its, located on Scenic Highway in Snellville, offers five party options to suit any little girl. Glamour, Hollywood and Rockstar parties all include hairstyles, make up and manicures for each guest, as well as dress-up clothing to fit each theme. For the Style-A-Doll party, girls get to work on a Snip-Its doll, learning to create hairstyles and apply make-up. Each girl gets to take her doll home with her at the end of the party. A spa party includes manicures, pedicures and facial treatments. All parties include the party necessities: cake, drinks and party favors. Contact the salon for pricing and availability.

Build-A-Bear Workshop

Build-A-Bear Workshop is a popular option for little girls in Gwinnett County. It is located at the Mall of Georgia in Buford, and parties start at $10 per guest. All parties are directed by a party leader to keep guests entertained and lead them through the animal creation process. The basic package includes a stuffed animal for each guest, a photo and gift for the birthday girl, party favors, invitations and thank-you cards. Guests may also be able to choose a higher-priced animal or clothing based on the party package. While Build-A-Bear does not offer food, the girls can be taken downstairs to the food court to have cake and open gifts.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts

Jo-Ann craft store has two locations in Gwinnett County -- Snellville and Duluth. Starting at $125 for eight guests, Jo-Ann's birthday party packages provide crafting and treat decorating supplies, a party room, set-up and clean-up, an instructor and invitations. You bring the treats to decorate, drinks, decorations, goodie-bags and the cake and candles. Little girls are lead in making a craft and decorating their treat, as well as spend time opening presents and eating cake and snacks. Party crafts are customized to fit the age and interests of your daughter. Each party lasts 90 minutes. Contact guest services to reserve your party date and time.

Georgia Gymnastics Academy

Georgia Gymnastics Academy, located in Lawrenceville and Suwanee, offers party packages for little girls who love to flip, tumble and jump. They provide an hour of gymnastics led by trained staff, 30 minutes of party festivities, balloons, all paper products, invitations and candles. The birthday girl also receives a t-shirt. You provide the cake. Prices begin at $175 for 12 guests. Party times are Saturdays at 2:00, 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m..
