Omaha Hotels & Motels

Omaha, Nebraska, situated on the state's eastern border shared with Iowa, can be accessed by air travelers at Eppley Airfield and by train on Amtrak's California Zephyr route. The city is home to a host of hotels and motels offering overnight accommodations centrally located in either the downtown area or in the suburbs. The city's 10,000 rooms offer easy access to activities ranging from outdoor sports on the Missouri River to a day of shopping and dining in the Old Market District.

Omaha Motels

The Super 8 Motel chain offers three locations in Omaha. Motels include the Spring Street accommodations, in the northeast part of the the city, an "M" Street location and a West Dodge Road motel. The budget motels include rooms organized around interior corridors, complimentary continental breakfast, a choice of rooms with king beds or suites, and restaurants within a five- to 10-minute drive from various locations. Pets are welcome at all the motels with payment of a daily, non-refundable fee.

Historic Omaha Hotels

The historic Magnolia Hotel, nominated to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, offers guests a choice of 145 boutique hotel rooms and suites, and drinks and libations at the restored hotel bar. Room amenities include views of the city lights or the hotel courtyard, executive work desks and wired Internet access. A complimentary American breakfast buffet and evening beer and wine reception are also part of the room fee. Downtown and airport shuttle transportation are also free for hotel guests. Hotel amenities include a business center, fitness room and complimentary milk and cookies buffet.

Omaha Suite Hotels

The Embassy Suites Omaha-Downtown/Old Market, located a short drive from the Orpheum Theater, Omaha Children's Museum, Henry Doorly Zoo and the Rosenblatt Baseball Stadium, offers guests a choice of suites with a refrigerator, microwave oven and a separate dining area. Hotel amenities include a business center, complimentary breakfast area, guest laundry, and gift shop and news stand. Guests also have access to a swimming pool and fitness room. The Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham on "M" Street includes 88 suites equipped with kitchens and separate living rooms with fireplaces. Hotel amenities feature a hot American buffet breakfast, evening wine and beer social, swimming pool, and a sport court and guest laundromat. Attractions less than five miles from the hotel include the Oak View Mall. The zoo and baseball stadium are 10 miles from the hotel.

Downtown Omaha Hotels

The Homewood Suites by Hilton Omaha-Downtown, part of the Hilton Hotels Corporation, offers a choice of 123 suites, including studio, one- and two-bedroom suites. All rooms feature a full kitchen. Hotel amenities include a business center, indoor pool, whirlpool, exercise room and an on-site laundry. The free hotel shuttle service operates between the hotel in a five-mile perimeter of the hotel complex. The Doubletree Hotel and Executive Meeting Center on Dodge Street in downtown Omaha features a fitness center, swimming pool and gift shop. On-site dining includes menu service at the SIgnatures Restaurant and casual dining and drinks at the hotel's City Center Pub.
