Northern Indiana Lodges & Resorts

Northern Indiana lodges and resorts offer visitors to the lakes and sand dunes a comfortable place for sleep and options for on-site dining and sports activities, including professional-quality golf courses. Indiana's climate features four distinct seasons, and resorts offer seasonal outdoor activities, including golf and fishing, beginning each spring. Winter activities include cross-country skiing, sledding and snowmobiling.

Beachwalk Resort Community

The Beachwalk Resort Community in Michigan City, Indiana, offers a collection of rental cottages organized around walking trails, restaurants and outdoor sporting facilities. Kayaking, tennis, golf, fishing and basketball are featured activities. The Community resort, adjacent to the Indiana Dunes and just over an hour south of downtown Chicago, is located in LaPorte County. Lodging at the resort offers long-term, off-season that requires a minimum stay of two nights and summer rentals requiring a seven-night minimum stay. Summer rentals may be reserved from mid-June through Labor Day. Warm weather rentals begin on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Rentals feature multiple bedrooms with screened porches, decks, balconies and fireplaces.

Culver Cove Resort & Conference Center

Culver Cove on the water in Culver, Indiana, offers visitors condominium one- or two-bedroom accommodations with kitchenettes, fireplaces and decks with views of Lake Maxinkuckee. Options for the deluxe condo units include a garden tub with jets. Prime condo units have full kitchens and a loft bedroom with a Jacuzzi. The resort includes a private beach, heated indoor pool and resort Jacuzzi, exercise room, guest laundry and media center. Culver Cove activities feature golf, tennis, boating, fishing, volleyball and swimming. The town features the Mystic Hills Golf Club, Culver Academies Golf Course and the Maxinkuckee Country Club 9-hole course, all within a few minutes' drive from the resort.

Indian Oak Resort & Spa

Accommodations at the Indian Oak Resort and Spa in Chesterton, a Best Western resort near Interstate-94 close to Lake Michigan and the Indiana Dunes State Park, feature a complimentary hot breakfast, indoor swimming pool, hot tub, and fitness and business center. The resort is less than 10 miles from the Blue Chip Casino and less than three miles from the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Area eateries adjacent to the resort include Gelsosomo's, El Salto, Taste of Thailand and Round the Clock Restaurant.

Swan Lake Resort

The Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth is home to the Indiana National Golf Course and the U.S. Golf Academy, and offers visitors two courses, the Black and Silver, and a full spa. The resort also provides guests fishing instruction at the on-site Orvis Fly Fishing School. Dining at the resort includes the Fireside Lounge and Restaurant, Tavern, Patio and the Clubhouse Grill featuring fine wines, specialty martinis, casual sandwiches and full dinners that include steaks, pasta, chops and seafood. Accommodations include a choice of deluxe rooms and suites at the resort hotel, a collection of cottage and villas on the fairways, log cabins and spots for recreational vehicles.

Fisherman Cove Resort

The Fisherman Cove Resort in North Webster, Indiana, features cottage accommodations open from April through November. Lodging is available for weekend, week and special holiday activity packages, including fishing. All cottages sleep six people, and resort amenities include boat rentals, stern wheel paddle-boat tours, fishing and water skiing on Webster Lake. The resort offers a choice of seven cottages, boat launch, hot tub, several swimming pools and a supply store. Eateries in downtown North Webster provide daily meals for resort visitors.
