Niagara Falls, a tourist destination since the 19th century and perhaps the United States’ most famous honeymoon spot, offers numerous lodging choices on both the Canadian and American sides of the falls. Niagara Falls hotels and motels cater to couples in search of romance, families, and visitors who want their trip to include more than the natural wonder of Niagara.

Hotels on the American Side

The six-story Crowne Plaza Hotel Niagara Falls, located in downtown Niagara Falls near the convention center, offers high-end standard rooms and suites with walk-in showers and large work desks. The hotel is convenient to all of the area's major attractions, including the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel. The casino’s 26-story hotel is the largest in western New York. Room service, available 24 hours a day, features local favorites, like beef on weck, and special meals for a romantic evening in your room. Seneca Niagara’s spa offers both massage and salon services.

Motels on the American Side

Howard Johnson and Days Inn are both close to the falls. Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds are a block and a half from the budget-friendly Howard Johnson. Package deals at the motel include accommodations, helicopter tours and casino vouchers. Denny’s Restaurant, across the street, offers standard American fare. Days Inn at the Falls, located at the end of Rainbow Bridge, has an indoor pool and sauna. Some rooms have whirlpool tubs and fireplaces. Days Inn provides a full wedding package, including banquet dining, champagne and table decorations.

Hotels on the Canadian Side

Sheraton on the Falls, a luxury hotel and spa, offers both traditional rooms and large falls-view rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel’s Fallsview Restaurant, located on the penthouse level, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Kids under 12 eat free. Christienne Spa, overlooking the falls, provides salon and massage service. Moderately priced, Kings Inn Near the Falls offers no-frills standard rooms and whirlpool rooms with red, heart-shaped tubs. Package deals at the inn include accommodations, meals and gift baskets.

Motels on the Canadian Side

Comfort Inn is located in the Clifton Hill entertainment district, near amusement park rides, miniature golf, restaurants and nightclubs. Comfort Inn has an indoor heated pool and serves continental breakfast daily. Kelsey’s Restaurant, on site, features casual food like wings and burgers. Family-size rooms at EconoLodge West of the Falls, removed a bit from the tourist areas along both sides of the Niagara River, have four beds and a sitting area. Rooms with one queen bed have a heart-shaped whirlpool tub.
