New York City's Broadway is one of the most prominent streets in Manhattan. Stretching for most of the length of the island, Broadway is packed with businesses, theaters and tourist attractions. A hotel on Broadway is placed well in reach of taxicabs and the 1, 2, 3, and 9 Red subway lines, as well as bus service. If your particular Broadway hotel is in Times Square, you may also be lucky enough to see a view of the bustling Theater District from your window.
Marriott Marquis Hotel
The Marriott Marquis is the go-to for New Year's Eve room bookings, since it overlooks Broadway and Times Square. Its exclusive placement allows the Marquis to charge a prime rate for accommodations, parking and pets, and the nearly 2000 rooms over 49 floors book quickly during the prime tourist seasons of summer and winter. Each room of the Marriott Marquis has luxury bedding, a mini fridge and free safe; room service is available from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. However, the hotel is so conveniently placed that numerous Times Square restaurants deliver around the clock.
Millennium Broadway New York
Another hotel in the center of Times Square, the Millennium Broadway is smaller than the Marriott Marquis with 625 rooms and suites. Rooms have large picture windows, luxury bedding, Internet service and robes upon request. The hotel is also home to the Hudson Theater, a 700-seat facility available for meetings and performing-arts events. The 16th floor fitness center is open 24 hours a day, and available concierge service assists in booking theater seats and dinner reservations for a night out. For food, eat at the hotel's in-house Restaurant Charlotte, or venture out into Times Square for other meal options.
Radisson Martinique Broadway
Further downtown near Koreatown, the Radisson Martinique Broadway has 533 rooms with a full- service fitness center and meeting rooms. Every room includes free bottled water, microwave oven and mini refrigerator on request and workstation with desk. Executive Level rooms feature free buffet breakfast and access to the business lounge. In a nod to its surroundings, the flagship restaurant is KumGangSan, an award-winning Korean eatery with 24-hour service and a long list of house specialties. Families will especially like the fact that children under 17 stay free with a paying adult.
Days Inn Hotel New York City - Broadway
The Upper West side is an outpost for well-to-do families and professionals, and the Days Inn Hotel New York City offers travelers a chance to live among Manhattan residents. Situated on a residential street, the Days Inn is at the corner of West 94th and Broadway. Days Inn is usually a moderately priced chain for the budget conscious, but this one varies because of its placement in an expensive neighborhood. The hotel assesses a fee for parking, water and in-room safe use and doesn't furnish continental breakfast. However, wireless Internet is complimentary, as is use of the fitness center.
