Munich Airport Area Hotels

The Munich Airport is about 17 miles from downtown Munich, Germany, the capital of the Bavarian province. The facility handled more than 32 million passengers in 2009, according to airport statistics, making it the second busiest airport in Germany and the seventh busiest in Europe. Munich Airport boasts a hotel on the airport grounds as well as several places to stay within a short drive of the terminal.

Kempinski Hotel

The only hotel located directly on the airport grounds, just steps from the airport terminals, the futuristic, five-star Kempinski Hotel features 389 sound-proof guest rooms, all with wireless Internet access. Guests can also take advantage of the property's indoor swimming pool, full spa, business center and full-service restaurant.

Movenpick Hotel Munich

The Movenpick Hotel, less than three miles from the Munich Airport, is an affordable option near the terminals. The 165-room property features wireless Internet access throughout and facilities include a full-service restaurant and bar, a fitness room and a sauna. Shuttle service is available between the airport and the hotel for a nominal fee.

Holiday Inn Express Munich Airport

The three-story, 150-room Holiday Inn Express is just three miles away from the Munich airport. All guest rooms there have wireless Internet access and guests are invited to a complimentary breakfast buffet each morning. The hotel also has a business center and full-service restaurant. A hotel shuttle connects the airport and the Holiday Inn Express for a small fee.

Best Western Munich Airport

Just seven miles from Munich Airport and connected via a hotel shuttle, the Best Western Munich Airport features 181 guest rooms, all with complimentary wireless Internet access. The hotel also offers free outdoor parking and has a restaurant and bar that serves International cuisine for lunch and dinner daily.
