Motels in Steamboat Springs, CO

Steamboat Springs, which sits within the Rocky Mountains of north-central Colorado, attracts visitors from around the world to its two ski resorts and downtown shopping district. Travelers will find a few motels offering convenient access to the ski areas as well the local natural hot springs the city was named after.

Rabbit Ears Motel

Rabbit Ears Motel, on the Yampa River in downtown Steamboat Springs, offers scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Guests enjoy free shuttle service to the Steamboat Ski Area and are within walking distance to many local eateries including Bistro CV, Mahogany Ridge Brewery and Mambo Italian Restaurant. Accommodations include spacious guest rooms with a private patio and free continental breakfast. Guests receive discounted Hot Springs Pool passes and have direct access to Yampa River Park, which features a riverfront hiking trail.

Nordic Lodge Motel

Located on the northwestern edge of downtown Steamboat Springs, Nordic Lodge Motel offers walking access to the downtown shopping district and several restaurants including Steamboat Smokehouse and the Old West Steak House. The two-story wood lodge has spacious guest rooms and multiple bedroom suites. Guests receive complimentary deluxe breakfast and have access to an indoor hot tub and seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool. The hotel is on the Steamboat Ski Area bus routes, and guests receive discounted tickets to the Peak Fitness Club.

Western Lodge

Western Lodge is a budget-friendly motel in northern downtown Steamboat Springs. Guests are within a block of the Yampa River Core Hiking Trails and a half-mile from the Howelsen Ski Area. Accommodations include standard guest rooms with up to three double beds and duplex units which have three separate bedrooms and a full kitchen. Within a block of the motel guest will find the Creekside Cafe & Grill and Mazzola’s Italian Restaurant.

Hotel Bristol

Hotel Bristol is a privately owned boutique hotel within the central shopping district of downtown Steamboat Springs. The hotel allows easy access to the Tread of Pioneers Museum across the street and the Stramberry Park Hot Springs five miles away where guest can experience the local natural hot springs. The hotel offers standard rooms, family rooms with two connecting bedrooms and suites with spacious floor plan and sofa sleeper. Within the lobby are a restaurant and authentic saloon featuring Regional cuisine and cocktails. Although the hotel features slightly higher room rates then area motels, it provides walking access to downtown and extra amenities including an indoor hot tub and a lounge area within the lobby with a fireplace and library.
