Motels in Middlebury, Vermont

Middlebury, Vermont, is the largest town in Addison County, and the area has a handful of accommodations for travelers, including three budget motels and an affordable inn. Rates for accommodations in Vermont vary by the season, with higher rates in the summer months, and most require that guests book by telephone. The motels are within close proximity of Middlebury College, the ski slopes at Sugarbush, a local vineyard, golf courses, a number of antique stores and independent restaurants, and Branbury State Park.

Sugar House Motel

Sugar House Motel is two and a half miles from Middlebury's town center, and less than three miles from Middlebury College and near to Lincoln Peak Vineyard and Winery. This motel offers basic accommodations with smoking and non-smoking rooms available. The rooms come with either one or two queen-sized beds, and all rooms come equipped with wireless Internet access, a refrigerator and a microwave oven. Pet-friendly lodging is available. The motel serves complimentary coffee each morning and hosts a nightly campfire.

Greystone Motel

The Greystone Motel sits two miles south of downtown Middlebury, within three miles of attractions such as Middlebury College and the Henry Sheldon Museum of Vermont History and the Ralph Myhre Golf Course, and within seven miles of Branbury State Park. The motel houses 10 guest rooms with basic accommodations featuring either one or two queen-sized beds and a refrigerator. Pets are not allowed at the Greystone Motel. Each morning, guests are invited to partake in a complimentary continental breakfast.

Blue Spruce Motel

Blue Spruce Motel is just over three miles from downtown Middlebury, which is full of antique stores, restaurants and shops. The motel is also near Middlebury College, and within 15 miles of the ski slopes at Sugarbush. Guest rooms are basic, with two double beds, one king-sized or one queen-sized bed. The two cabins are smaller than the basic rooms, with one double bed or one double and one twin bed. The motel has two house "suites," including one house with a lofted bedroom that houses three double beds and a full kitchen, and one house with two double beds and a kitchenette. The Blue Spruce Motel offers guests complimentary high speed wireless Internet and a free continental breakfast.

Middlebury Inn

In the heart of downtown Middlebury, the Middlebury Inn has been operating for more than 180 years and is within walking distance of local restaurants, bookstores, boutiques, the public library and East Middlebury River. The inn offers guests reasonably priced accommodations in each of its 70 rooms. The rooms come in an array of options, from the most economical room with one twin bed to deluxe rooms with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. Morgan's Tavern operates at the inn for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, serving traditional American fare made with locally grown ingredients obtained through the Vermont Fresh Network Partnership.
