They call New York the city that never sleeps, but visitors must sleep sometime. That's where your hotel comes in. Almost all of the city's hotels offer suites of some kind. A mini-suite often has a separate room for a sitting area, couch and/or workstation, but it won't necessarily have much more square footage than a regular room. Consider how long you will be staying, how much time you will spend in your room and what your budget is before deciding whether to book a mini-suite.

Casablanca Hotel

The Casablanca Hotel, a boutique property just off Times Square, offers mini-suites with French doors that separate the bedroom and living room, which has a sofa bed, chairs and a work area. The Moroccan-style decor matches the hotel's theme: the movie “Casablanca.” Complimentary amenities include high-speed Internet, an evening cocktail hour and a buffet breakfast.

Hilton New York

The Hilton New York is in midtown Manhattan, near Radio City Music Hall and Central Park. Its mini-suites are studio-style, with the living area and bedroom separated in an oversize room. All rooms include wall-to-wall windows with views of the Manhattan skyline. The hotel has a fitness center, a spa, restaurants and a business center. Room service is available, as is an executive lounge.

Embassy Suites Hotel New York City

The Embassy Suites Hotel New York City, just blocks from the Financial District and the ferry to the Statue of Liberty, has 463 mini-suites. Each has a bedroom with a door. The living room holds a sofa bed, additional television, microwave and mini-bar. The hotel provides complimentary, cooked-to-order breakfasts and evening manager’s receptions with drinks and snacks.

Wingate by Wyndham Manhattan Midtown

The Wingate by Wyndham Manhattan Midtown offers two-room mini-suites with a separate bedroom, a private terrace and a living room with a refrigerator and microwave. Mini-suite guests can take advantage of free high-speed Internet access, along with remote faxing and printing. A complimentary, hot continental breakfast is available each morning. This smoke-free hotel is near the Javits Convention Center and Madison Square Garden.
