Four Marriott hotels are located in Boston proper, each with its own unique style and ambiance. From the luxurious Ritz-Carlton to the budget-friendly Courtyard by Marriott, the Marriott chain of hotels spreads itself across a wide dynamic to accommodate the needs of a diverse set of travelers.
Boston Marriott Long Wharf
The Boston Marriott Long Wharf is located right in Boston's historic center, one block from Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. The hotel's 397 guest rooms and 15 suites are decorated a contemporary classic mood, with clean-lined furniture and the use of golds, reds and whites against dark wood tones. An indoor pool with floor-to-ceiling windows and a fitness center are available for guests. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the hotel's Oceana restaurant serves up fresh seafood fare.
Courtyard Boston Downtown/Tremont
Located in Boston's theater district, the Courtyard Boston Downtown/Tremont is just steps from the Wang Theater, Colonial Theater and Boston Opera House. The hotel is also within walking distance of Boston Common, Government Center and Newbury Street. The European-style rooms are compact but brightly decorated with gold-toned walls, crisp, white sheets and red accents. A fitness center with cardiovascular equipment and free weights is on site. Guests may have breakfast each morning in the Courtyard Cafe and venture out to one of the many dining establishments situated near the hotel for other meals. Bistro du Midi, California Pizza Kitchen, PF Chang and Aquitaine Bistro are all within walking distance of the hotel.
Boston Marriott Copley Place
The high-end shops of Newbury Street and high-rise office buildings of downtown Boston are within a stone's throw of the Boston Marriott Copley Place. The hotel attracts business travelers, with the Hynes Convention Center located a few blocks away, and leisure travelers who want to enjoy the dynamic atmosphere of the Back Bay. The hotel's 1,101 guest rooms and 47 suites all feature pillow-top mattresses and plush down comforters. An indoor swimming pool and fitness facility are available for guests. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at Champions Sports Bar, located just off of the hotel's lobby, and a Starbucks cafe is also in the hotel.
The Ritz-Carlton is located just steps from Boston Common and public gardens. A 2008 renovation transformed the hotel from traditional to glamorous and contemporary, with a 10-foot-wide marble fireplace and sleek guest spaces. The 193 guest rooms and 43 suites were described by Travel & Leisure magazine as "opulent to the max." Plush feather beds, Frette bathrobes and down comforters grace every room. The Sports Club/LA is a 100,000-square-foot space featuring more than 120 classes, and an adjoining spa offers massages, facials and nail services. The Gallery serves light fare throughout the day, while JER-NE Restaurant & Bar serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a fine-dining setting.
