How to Make a Western Invitation

by Tamiya King, Demand Media

If you're throwing a party with a Western theme, your invitations should reflect this. Incorporate Western symbols, images and colors when making the invitations to encourage your guests to enter into the spirit of the party.

    Step 1

Purchase card stock in a shade from the southwestern color palette, such as dusty rose, burnt orange, tan or sage green. Or choose an eye-catching shade, such as lime green or turquoise.

    Step 2

Trace the shape of a cowboy boot or a cactus with a pencil on the invitation paper using a stencil.

    Step 3

Cut the shape from the paper with scissors.

    Step 4

Cut squares from a bandanna in your favorite color and hot-glue the fabric pieces onto the front of the invitation.

    Step 5

Turn the invitation over and write the party details--time, date, location and RSVP information--with a marker.

    Step 6

Adorn both sides of the invitation with Western-themed stickers, such as yellow roses, Western stars or cowboy hats.
