How to Make Clam Bait Bags for Crabbing

by Kim Blakesley Google

Clam bait bags are made from a bright orange mesh tube fabric. One end is held together with a stainless hogring while the other end is closed with the snood. The bag is large enough to hold three small clams or chunks of fish. The bright orange mesh tube fabric is a commercial grade fabric. It is sold in in spools 100 to 500 foot long. The fabric tube is 1 1/2-inches wide. Make a clam bait bag in less than five minutes.
