Lodging in Dillon, Colorado

Dillon, Colorado, is located in the middle of Summit County ski country, just minutes from resorts like Keystone and Copper Mountain. The town provides less expensive lodging options for budget-conscious travelers and has a free bus service that connects with area resorts. The town is located on Lake Dillon, making for a scenic and activity-filled summer vacation destination also.

Identification

Dillon is a town of under 1,000, located about 70 miles west of Denver directly off of Interstate 70. Visitors will have access to resorts like Keystone, Loveland and A-Basin, which lie east on US-6, and Copper Mountain, which lies west off of I-70. The Summit Stage bus system connects the town directly to Keystone Resort. When it comes to lodging in Dillon, look closely at location; some properties are on the shores of the Dillon Reservoir, perfect for a summer getaway, while others are located on or near the roadways that provide the best access to skiing and other attractions.

Dillon Inn

The Dillon Inn is just two blocks from I-70, providing convenient access to skiing and travel to the east and west of the state, including Denver. The hotel is within walking distance of a variety of outlet stores. On-site, guests will enjoy an indoor pool and hot tub in a window-filled room with views of the surrounding mountains and wilderness. The inn has king, queen and double-queen rooms. Ski travelers can take advantage of the free ski shuttle and discount lift tickets the property offers. In the summer, guests have direct access to a local bike path.

The Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge is located on the shore of the Dillon Reservoir, putting it within walking distance of boating, fishing and other lake activities. The property boasts a variety of accommodations including king rooms, queen rooms, suites and condos. On-site, guests enjoy a large Jacuzzi, sauna room and views of the reservoir and the mountains that encircle it. When the snow starts falling in those mountains, it's time to head to ski resorts like Keystone, Copper Mountain, Loveland and A-Basin, all within 10 miles.

Comfort Suites

The Comfort Suites Dillon is an all-suites hotel located just off of US-6. Its location puts it within less than five miles of the Dillon Reservoir Marina, outlet shops in Silverthorne and Arapahoe National Forest. The hotel offers an exercise room, indoor pool, indoor/outdoor whirlpool and sundeck under the mountains. Free continental breakfast is served. Select rooms offer upgraded amenities like balconies and in-room whirlpool tubs.
