Lincoln, the capitol city of Nebraska, is the state's largest city and is located on the great plains in the southwest corner of the state. Visitors will find a variety of hotels concentrated in four regions offering convenient access to the local attractions, including the Historic Haymarket, Lincoln Children’s Zoo and University of Nebraska.

University of Nebraska - Downtown

The University of Nebraska has two campuses located on the northern edge of downtown Lincoln. Visitors will find several hotels within blocks of the university that allow easy access to the downtown amenities, including the Folsom Children’s Zoo, Nebraska State Capitol and Lincoln Children’s Museum. Hotel options include chain hotels such as Embassy Suites and The Cornhusker Marriot Hotel along with Suburban Extended Stay Hotel for travelers staying for longer than a few days.

North Lincoln

The Interstate 80 and 27th street Interchange, four miles north of downtown holds a variety of lodging options with convenient access several eateries, including Cracker Barrel and Ruby Tuesday. The area is within a quiet residential area away from the hustle of downtown. Accommodations include low- to moderate-priced hotels, including Best Western Crown Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites and Settle Inn & Suites, all within a mile of the Interstate entrance.

Lincoln Municipal Airport

Lincoln Municipal Airport is located two miles northwest of downtown and has numerous budget and chain hotels located within a block of its entrance. The area is popular with travelers because it is only a few minute drive from downtown and is at the entrance to I-80. Accommodations include the Sleep Inn, Motel 6 and Days inn offering budget-friendly rooms along with Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Inn offering moderately priced modern guest rooms with access to a swimming pool and complimentary breakfast.

South Lincoln

Visitors to Lincoln will find the southern area of the city to be mostly residential and offers a few mainstream hotels with convenient access to numerous parks and golf courses, including Homes Park, Firethorn Golf Club and Tierra Briarhurst Park. The hotels are mostly near Highway 2 and include the Hampton Inn, Residence Inn and Holiday Inn Southwest, all offering moderate priced modern guest rooms. Dining options in the area include Lazlo’s Brewery & Grill, Skeeter Barnes Steakhouse and Panthenon Greek Restaurant.
