North Side

Guests staying on the north side of Indianapolis have access to some of the best shopping in the city. Castleton Square Mall and The Fashion Mall at Keystone at the Crossing are in this area, and the affluent areas of Fishers and Carmel are north of the city as well, bringing plenty of growth and upscale businesses to this side of town. The majority of the north side's motels, such as the Microtel Inn Indianapolis, include complimentary wireless Internet access and a continental breakfast among their amenities. The Super 8 Indianapolis College Park provides guests with passes to a nearby fitness center, and Best Western Castleton Inn has a fitness room onsite. Both feature outdoor pools for additional fun in the summer.

West Side

Visitors flying in and out of the city may find the most convenient motels are those located on the west side, near the Indianapolis International Airport. This side of the city is also the location of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which hosts the Indianapolis 500 each spring. The Ramada Indianapolis Airport and La Quinta Inn Indianapolis Airport provide complimentary airport transportation. These locations also provide continental breakfast and high speed internet access. The Ramada Limited Indianapolis West provides laundry facilities, which may be particularly beneficial to guests in town for a long stay.

South Side

The south side of Indianapolis is a convenient area for sports fans to stay in, as both Lucas Oil Stadium and Conseco Fieldhouse are located toward this side of the city. The Quality Inn Downtown South provides a complimentary breakfast, fitness facility and video library to its guests. The Red Roof Inn Indianapolis South offers complimentary high-speed wireless Internet and weekday newspapers. At the Super 8 Motel Indianapolis on Southport Road, guests can enjoy a continental breakfast, complimentary daily newspapers and dry-cleaning services.

East Side

Some of Indianapolis’s historic neighborhoods are located on the east side of the city, such as Lockerbie Square with buildings dating from the 1820s and the St. Joseph area with architecture from the 1860s. Though this is the least affluent part of town, many motels in this area still provide convenient amenities. The Rodeway Inn offers microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms, an ideal feature for travelers on a budget who want the ability to prepare convenience meals in the room. The America’s Best Value Inn Indy East features a continental breakfast, complimentary newspapers and DVD players in guests’ rooms.
