A wedding shower is a fun event to express the personality of the bride-to-be. Sweet and sassy decorations and favors can be made with satin and lace, reflecting the theme of the wedding and bridal gown. Satin and lace create a party as unique as the bride herself.

Memento Bags

Use lace and satin to give each guest at the party a memento bag. Satin bags are decorated with colorful lace, lace frills are added near the opening and a satin bow is tied on the front. These keepsake bags are decorative and useful for the shower guests. The bride will decide if gifts for the wedding party will be placed inside the memento bags at the time of the shower or at the wedding reception.

Thank-you Favors

Use satin and lace to create thank-you pouch favors. Satin fabric with lace trim is wrapped around mints or other sweet treats and tied with a satin or lace bow. The color of the tie will match the color of the wedding chosen by the bride. A small printed card will be attached to the bow, reading "Thank you." The favors can be handed out at the end of the party or placed at each table setting.

Decorated Vases

Use satin flowers inside decorated vases to brighten the venue. Wrap or glue colored lace on the vases and tie satin ribbons around the flowers. You might spray the satin flowers with scents to add atmosphere to the party. The result is a satin and lace flower vase that can be presented to the bride-to-be after the shower.

Satin and Lace Napkin Rings

Weave thin satin ribbon through lengths of lace sized to be napkin rings. Wrap lace around folded napkin so there is a slight overlap. Place a dot of glue on the overlap to close the napkin ring. Lay the napkins wrapped in the lace and satin rings at each place setting. These napkin rings could also be used at the wedding.
