The Hotels In West Valley City, Utah

by Joe Fletcher

West Valley City is just southwest of Salt Lake City and has a population of around 125,000, making it Utah's second largest city. While not quite as large or well-known as Salt Lake, West Valley does offer a fair share of entertainment venues, including Rocky Mountain Raceway; the USANA Amphitheater, which offers summer concerts; and the Maverik Center, home of the Utah Grizzlies hockey team and a venue for concerts and other events. The city also is near Salt Lake City International Airport.

Since West Valley City is directly southwest of Salt Lake City, some properties in West Valley are labeled as "Salt Lake." Look at the address when determining where the hotel is. Many of West Valley's hotels are along major interstate highways like 15, 80 and 215, making for convenient travel. I-215 and I-80 lead to the Salt Lake airport, as does Bangerter Highway.
