Torba, a small seaside village near the major Turkish port of Bodrum, offers several hotels geared toward families seeking a beach vacation in a quiet, picturesque locale. Although there are a limited number of hotels and resorts in the village, they vary considerably in size, style and facilities, offering options to suit a range of budgets.
Casa Dell'Arte consists of two all-suite hotels -- the Casa Dell'Arte Residence and the Luxury Family Resort -- as well as an art gallery, three restaurants, outdoor pools, a private jetty, a fitness center and boutique shops selling gourmet Turkish foods, objects d'art and designer clothes. The Residence hosts 12 all-white, loft-style suites inspired by the signs of the zodiac. The resort complex includes 37 guest rooms with hardwood floors, handmade furnishings and contemporary art. A private, three-bedroom seafront villa with its own pool and garden also is available. The hotel's collection of more than 200 Turkish paintings is displayed throughout the property, both in public areas and guest suites.
Isil Club sits on its own private beach with decked sunbathing platforms. The hotel offers a choice of standard guest rooms, family rooms, suites and bungalows, all with bright contemporary decor and garden or sea views. The family rooms include a master bedroom and an adjacent children's bedroom with age-appropriate decor; and the two-bedroom suites feature a large, private terrace with sea views. High-end, in-room amenities include LCD-screen televisions, bathrobes and slippers, wireless Internet and daily newspapers. Guests enjoy a choice of four restaurants: the main restaurant with Turkish and international dishes served buffet-style, a casual snack restaurant by the swimming pool, a seafood restaurant with outdoor seating overlooking the sea, and a poolside Italian restaurant. An all-inclusive package combining accommodations with meals and beverages is available.
Hotel Zeytinada sits on a hillside overlooking Torba Bay, with guest rooms housed in villas constructed from native stone. They feature contemporary decor with brightly colored accents, pool or garden views and private balcony. All room rates are half-board and include daily buffet-style breakfasts and dinners in the main restaurant, as well as access to the sauna, tennis courts, fitness center and Turkish bath. One of the hotel's notable attractions is a lagoon-style swimming pool with an olive tree island in the middle. It is surrounded by sun terraces with loungers and shaded seating.
The 250-room Hotel Samara boasts a private beach, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a range of on-site activities, including mini-golf, tennis, beach volleyball, parasailing and banana boat rides. Family-friendly facilities include a children's playground on the beach and a supervised kids' club. Guests enjoy access to a hot tub, sauna and Turkish bath, and massage and beauty treatments are available at the on-site beauty center. Accommodation options consist of elegantly furnished standard rooms, junior and senior suites and a presidential suite. Connecting rooms are available to accommodate families and groups. An a la carte restaurant offers Turkish cuisine and fresh local seafood dishes. The hotel also hosts the Olive Bar with DJs and dancing, a poolside bar, an aperitif bar and the romantic Sea Bar.
