Hotels on the Silver Coast in Portugal

Located between Portugal’s Green and Lisbon coasts, the Silver Coast (Costa de Prata) is known for its turquoise sea, isolated beaches, countryside and one-of-a-kind hotels. This favorite European destination has hotels located minutes away from area wineries, vineyards and olive groves and within an hour of Libson. The Silver Coast is one of the areas in Europe where you can sunbathe on a deserted beach, stroll through a medieval town and relax in a luxurious hotel all in the same day.

Miramar Hotel

Meaning “hotel that overlooks the sea,” the Miramar Hotel is a short seven blocks away from the beach of Narazé. Each room in the Miramar Hotel is decorated plainly in a Mediterranean style with white, red and yellow colors so you are more focused on the view of the Silver Coast. Additionally, there is a panoramic view of the coast from the poolside and breakfast room on the terrace. While the rooms do not have Internet service, the Miramar Hotel provides public computers for guests to use in the modernly decorated Leisure Room, which is a common area for guests to relax, play billiards, chat or watch TV with family and friends. The leisure room also features pieces by local artists.

Hotel Maré

Located a half block from the beach, the modern Hotel Maré is located in the center of Narazé. All the rooms at the Hotel Maré have a sleek look and incorporate the use of contrasting colors such as black and white, red and beige or blue and orange. Additionally, the rooms offer a view of the ocean, balcony, free Wi-Fi Internet connection and the basic amenities found in most hotel rooms, including a safe-box. Also available are handicapped-accessible rooms for disabled guests. The upscale decor in the lobby of the hotel is inspired by nature with its use of marble, wood and exotic floral arrangements. This area offers Internet access so guests can connect to the Web on their personal computers. Served daily is a continental breakfast in a fifth floor “panoramic breakfast room” that is rich in Mediterranean colors and offers views of the Silver Coast and the town of Nazaré.

Praia d'El Rey Marriott Hotel

The neighboring Lagoa de Óbidos (the Obidos Lagoon) offers Praia d’El Rey guests opportunities to try different water sports. On site, the Venetian-inspired Praia d’El Rey boasts a world-class 18-hole golf course, modern health club and boutique spa. Every room in the hotel has a balcony with a view of the coast or golf course. Those who stay in a luxury suite enjoy the comforts of upgraded amenities, the coastal breeze and the feeling of being in their own private world.
