Hotels in Savannah, Georgia, Near the Savannah Mall

With more than 100 stores and 1 million square feet of enclosed retailing space, the Savannah Mall is one of the area’s biggest and busiest shopping centers. Visitors to Savannah who also have a passion for shopping will find a handful of hotels within a five-mile radius of the mall. While close to the mall, these hotels also are a short drive from Savannah’s historic district, home to most of the city’s tourist attractions.

Courtyard Savannah Midtown

Only four miles from Savannah Mall and in the heart of the Savannah Midtown neighborhood, this three-story, 144-unit hotel, part of the Marriott family of hotel brands, provides an ideal base from which to explore all of Savannah’s attractions. Accommodations include 132 standard-size hotel rooms and 12 suites, all of which feature compact refrigerators and wireless Internet. Recreational facilities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and fitness center. The on-site Courtyard Cafe serves a breakfast buffet each morning and also takes ala carte breakfast orders. Nearby restaurants include Cherry Den, Denny’s, Rancho Alegre and Ryan’s.

Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Midtown

This six-story, 132-unit hotel lies midway between the Savannah Mall and the city’s historic district and River Street. Guests can leave their cars at the hotel and take the hotel’s complimentary shuttle service to several points of interest. Every room and suite includes a microwave oven, compact refrigerator, MP3-compatible clock radio and high-speed Internet. Other amenities include a swimming pool, business and fitness centers and concierge service. The on-site American Grille serves a breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner. Nearby restaurants include Atlanta Bread Company, Bonefish Grill, Cancun Mexican Restaurant, Chili’s and Longhorn Steakhouse.

Holiday Inn Express Savannah-Midtown

Just 1.3 miles from the mall, this four-story, 88-unit hotel also is close to Hunter Army Airfield, making it a good choice for those visiting relatives or friends serving at the facility. The hotel also is ideal for business travelers, offering spacious desk/work areas and high-speed Internet in all rooms and suites, as well as a business center off of the lobby. Recreational facilities include a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, picnic area with barbecue grills and a fitness center. Although there is no on-site restaurant, the hotel provides a complimentary hot breakfast buffet each morning. Guests will find a number of nearby restaurants, including Olive Garden, Logan’s Roadhouse, Outback Steakhouse and B&D Burgers.

SpringHill Suites Savannah Midtown

This three-story, all-suites hotel, just over a mile from the Savannah Mall, is a good pick for families and travelers planning an extended stay. Each of the hotel’s 79 suites features separate areas for sleeping and living, a wet bar, microwave, compact refrigerator, coffeemaker and high-speed Internet. Guests can work out in the fitness center or swim laps in the indoor swimming pool. The hotel provides a complimentary hot breakfast buffet each morning but has no on-site restaurant. Nearby eateries include Applebee’s, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, Logan’s Roadhouse and Carey Hilliard’s.
