The San Antonio International Airport accommodates all types of travelers year-round. Visitors who stay one night or more in the city may prefer to stay close to the airport for easy access to the terminals. Several hotels are within close proximity of the airport and cater to travelers of all budgets and interests.


The Embassy Suites, less than one mile from the San Antonio Airport, is a full-service hotel offering all-suite accommodations. Rooms at the Embassy are spacious; some feature up to two bedrooms with sitting areas and marble bathrooms. The hotel treats guests to complimentary refreshments each evening, as well as a hot breakfast every morning. Families with children will enjoy use of a hotel arcade, an indoor swimming pool, a playground and optional in-room cribs. Additionally, guests have access to a fitness center and business center, as well as a casual restaurant serving lunch and dinner. The Embassy also offers in-room dining until 11 p.m. most nights of the week.


The Crowne Plaza Hotel sits near both the San Antonio International Airport and the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center, making a central location for busy business travelers. The hotel features the amenities business travelers desire in their accommodations, including 5,200 square feet of meeting space, the use of hotel computers and high-speed Internet. The Crowne Plaza houses a business center featuring copy, fax and print services. Guests can also take advantage of a rental car desk and airline services desk on the hotel property.


Located one mile from the San Antonio International Airport, the Red Roof Inn is an economical hotel that caters to travelers on a budget. Rates include free access to high-speed Internet and fax service, free parking and a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. Children under 17 stay free at the hotel with an accompanying adult, and the Red Roof Inn welcomes guests traveling with pets at no additional charge. Guests need not venture far to find a meal; several restaurants are within two to three miles of the hotel, and the Red Roof Inn offers an in-room dining option for visitors who prefer an evening in.

Extended Stay

San Antonio visitors who plan to stay for an extended period of time will find that the Staybridge Suites offers in-room full kitchens, weekly or (limited) daily housekeeping, an on-site hotel laundromat, and convenience shops selling snacks, toiletries and other incidentals. Breakfast is complimentary each morning, and the hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the terminals.
