Hotels in Sahuarita, Arizona

The Town of Sahuarita, Arizona, is home to a unique attraction, the Titan II Missile Museum. The 50,000 people who visit this monument to Cold War technology each year, along with many other local attractions, find hotels near but not in Sahuarita. Sahuarita is a young, growing community, incorporated in 1994. Lodging can be found in neighboring communities, including Tucson, Green Valley and even into the wilds of Madera Canyon.

On the Tucson-Sahuarita Line

Desert Diamond Casino & Hotel is 11 miles and 17 minutes from Sahuarita, and minutes from the Tucson International Airport. The hotel is operated by the Tohono O'odham Nation, the second largest native nation in United States. The décor reflects the colors and designs in the natural landscape of the Sonoran desert. Because hotel operation is tax exempt, guests save an immediate 12.5 percent. All guest rooms offer a 32-inch flat screen television with cable. Rooms also have a work desk, complimentary wireless Internet access and hardwired data port. Complimentary continental breakfast and airport transportation are available, as are fitness and business centers, pool and spa. Restaurants include a steakhouse, buffet and a casual 24-hour food court. Guests can relax in the lounge/bars and sample coffee flavors at the morning coffee bar.

Green Valley Serenity

For proximity to Sahaurita, the Holiday Inn Express Green Valley may offer the closest lodging. It is just four miles and eight minutes from Sahuarita, located in a quiet enclave not far from several of Green Valley’s churches. Its location off the main north-south thoroughfare puts it within minutes of Green Valley restaurants. The hotel has 60 rooms, each with high-speed wireless Internet access, a refrigerator, cable or satellite television. Some rooms are available with disabled access. Guests can take advantage of the complimentary buffet breakfast, take a swim in the pool and a soak in the spa. Access to a health and fitness center off site is provided to guests for a small fee. Both English and Spanish are spoken. Pets are allowed in smoking rooms with a pet fee added.

Access to Golf

Golfers flock to Green Valley, and landing at the Comfort Inn in Green Valley puts them within a half-mile of the Canoa Hills Golf Club. The Comfort Inn is eight miles and 12 minutes from Sahuarita. The hotel, with 55 guest rooms, provides easy access to Interstate Highway 19. Amenities include pool and spa, high-speed wireless Internet access, refrigerator, coffee maker, in-room desk, free breakfast, exercise room, Braille elevator(s), phone for hearing impaired and disabled access guest rooms. Pets are accommodated with a fee, deposit and other restrictions. The property is approved for government travelers on official travel assignments.

Madera Canyon Retreat

Nature-loving visitors to the Sahuarita area looking for a retreat with a small twist can discover the Chuparosa Inn Bed and Breakfast about 20 miles and 46 minutes away. The Santa Rita Mountains’ Madera Canyon is at an elevation of 5,300 feet. The area has more than 305 sunny days a year and its summer temperature average is about 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The inn has three guest rooms, each with a private bath, kitchenette, entry and patio. The facility hosts a Hummingbird Monitoring Network site to help scientists protect and perpetuate hummingbird populations. Guests can watch and photograph up to eight species of hummingbirds. Occasionally, hummingbird experts are on hand to share their scientific insights about hummingbirds.
