Hotels in Phoenix and Tempe

The Phoenix Metropolitan Area, which includes Tempe, is located in an Arizona region referred to as the "Valley of the Sun." Hotels in Phoenix and Tempe offer views of saguaro cactus plants, especially in areas near the mountains surrounding the area. They provide amenities for business or leisure vacations. All of the hotels are within 20 miles of downtown Phoenix. Hotel guests can enjoy downtown attractions or explore the area’s network of hiking trails.

Airport Hotels

Hyatt Place Tempe/Phoenix Airport is located in Tempe on Priest and Rio Salado Parkway, 2 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. It provides complimentary shuttle service between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. daily. The hotel has the 24-hour Guest Kitchen, which provides made-to-order meals, snacks and complimentary continental breakfast. The hotel offers park, stay and fly packages that allow 14 days of airport parking. On-site amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, self-service check-in/check-out kiosks and a public computer. Guest rooms contain multimedia media centers with 42-inch flat-panel high-definition television, movies and games. Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport is the closest hotel to the airport and provides 24-hour shuttle service. The METRO Light Rail system drives guest to downtown Phoenix. Pet-Friendly Hotels

Ramada Plaza Phoenix at Metrocenter features neutral colors in public areas and guest rooms and has a 2,800-square-foot event space. The hotel allows pets for a daily fee and determines the size, weight and number of pets guests may bring on a case-by-case basis. Hotel amenities include an outdoor heated pool, 24-hour front desk, 24-hour business center and room service. Guest rooms have televisions with video games, refrigerators and Internet access. Aloft Tempe features art deco decor using bold colors of green and purple. The hotel accepts dogs that weight less than 40 lbs. Its Arf(SM) Pet program provides toys, dog beds and bowls and treats. Aloft Tempe has an outdoor swimming pool, a 24-hour gym and lounge with games and televisions. Guest rooms feature 9-foot ceilings, a large window, walk-in showers and entertainment centers.

Kid Friendly Hotels

Arizona Grand Resort overlooks South Mountain Preserve and has a 7-acre aquatic recreation facility with waterfalls, palm trees and greenery. Oasis Water Park features the eight-story Slide Canyon Tower with three water slides, a lazy river, a heated pool and a 25-person hot tub. Its 2010 Grand Playcation Package includes two nights in a resort king suite and four tickets to the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, SEA Life Arizona Aquarium and LEGOLAND California. Suites have separate living rooms with sofa beds and private balconies. Residence Inn Tempe, an all-suite hotel, offers the Nickelodeon Your Stay package, in which kids get free Nickelodeon activity books and special access to a game website. Hotel amenities include grocery shopping services, room service, a 24-hour convenience store and restaurant delivery. All suites have full kitchens and living rooms with sofa beds.
