Hotels in Orlando, Florida, With a Full Kitchen

by Jane Ellis, Demand Media

A vacation to Orlando, Florida, and its many amazing theme parks can be both a dream trip and a financial nightmare for a family. With the high cost of theme park tickets, transportation and accommodations, money can disappear very quickly. To cut down on costs, book a hotel room that features a full kitchen where you can occasionally cook an inexpensive meal instead of dining out.

    Disney's Old Key West Resort

This huge resort, which is set on a golf course amid lush greenery, offers one-, two- and three-bedroom villas that boast full kitchens, plus washers and dryers. Deluxe studios only have kitchenettes. The grounds and pastel colored architecture are designed to make you feel as if you are in Key West, Florida. Four pools, two arcades and a playground are just some of the amenities you will find at the 761-room Disney's Old Key West Resort. Renting a car may be optional if you stay at this resort since Disney's Magical Express can pick you up from the Orlando airport, while buses, a monorail system and boats can take you between the hotel and different Disney attractions in the area.

    Residence Inn Orlando SeaWorld/International Center

Although, this Residence Inn advertises itself as SeaWorld's official hotel, it is also close to Universal Studios and the Disney attractions and offers complimentary theme park transportation. Each of this hotel's 350 suites features a fully equipped kitchen, plus guests can look forward to a complimentary hot buffet breakfast each morning. The Residence Inn also offers special package deals that combine lodging plus SeaWorld tickets. In addition, your pet is welcome at the Residence Inn, which charges a non-refundable $75 sanitation fee per pet.

Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Universal Orlando/International Drive

If you like free, then check into the Hawthorn Suites, where you will not only be treated to a free hot breakfast each morning, but also a manager's reception with free drinks and appetizers each evening. This hotel also provides guests with free transportation to theme parks. Each of the Hawthorn's suites has a fully equipped kitchen. If you have people traveling with you who don't need a kitchen, they can book an executive guest room, which is set up more like a traditional hotel room.

Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa

You can really stretch out in one of Lake Buena Vista Resort Village & Spa's 498 spacious suites. The smallest units -- the one-bedrooms -- are over 1,000 square feet, while the largest units -- the four-bedrooms -- measure over 2,000 square feet. Granite counter tops give the suite's full kitchen an upscale feel, and each unit also has a washer and dryer. Lake Buena Vista Resort's has a waterpark-like pool that features a pirate ship, waterfalls and a slide. Complimentary theme park transportation is available with 24 hours advanced notice, and housekeeping can be arranged for on a daily, weekly or as-needed basis.

    Marriott Grande Vista

Golfers in your group will appreciate a stay at the Marriott Grande Vista, which is set on a beautiful course and offers lodging and golf packages. Full kitchens are available in the resort's one-, two- or three-bedroom villas, which also have washers and dryers. Guest rooms have a microwave and small refrigerator. Over 1,600 rooms, several dining options, and four pools grace the Marriott Grande Vista's sprawling grounds. This hotel offers free parking but no shuttle services to the theme parks.
