New York City has a total of five boroughs, including the northernmost Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island. It's easy to get from any other borough by subway or train to Manhattan, the core of the city. If you're staying in Brooklyn, some of the hotels are located near the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, providing easy driving access to Manhattan.

The Midtown Manhattan Hotel Roger Williams has a colorful interior with bright greens, blues and reds throughout the guestrooms. The 193 units range from garden rooms with private terraces and views of the city to standard rooms with minibars; all offer iPod docks, down comforters and Internet access. As of November 2010, hotel packages include Magnolia Bakery cupcakes, complimentary room movies and complimentary drinks from the minibar. Situated in the Gramercy neighborhood, Hotel Thirty-Thirty is centrally located in Manhattan near Grand Central Station and Times Square. The hotel offers discounts to guests booking five nights or booking early. Thirty-Thirty offers Internet access, Egyptian linens and daily newspapers in its 255 pet-friendly guestrooms. Take in the sounds of the city at the hotel's Zana Cafe, which provides indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant's menu includes penne vodka, steak and lobster.

The Days Inn Bronx, in New York's northernmost borough, is one mile from Yankee Stadium and the Bronx Museum. The hotel provides both smoking and smoke-free rooms with free Internet access; some rooms include a whirlpool bathtub. Nearby New York City attractions range from the Statue of Liberty, 10 miles away, to Radio City Music Hall, eight miles away. For visitors with children, the Bronx Zoo is only one mile away from the Best Western Bronx Inn. Other nearby attractions include Yankee Stadium and the Bay Plaza Mall, both around four miles from the hotel. This eco-friendly hotel offers 65 rooms with free Internet access and kitchenette. Amenities include a fitness facility with a variety of cardiovascular machines, complimentary breakfast and business center with fax, Internet and printing services.

The New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge is located in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, less than two miles from Manhattan. This 25-story hotel offers a beauty salon and business services. The 638 rooms have dark furnishings and warm orange and brown colors. Rooms offer down comforters, Internet access and views of downtown Brooklyn or the New York skyline. The Brooklyn Museum, which includes a mummy chamber and extensive artwork, is three miles from the hotel. The seven-story Holiday Inn Express Brooklyn Downtown is five miles from the Narrows Botanical Garden. This pet-friendly hotel offers 104 rooms with DVD player, Internet access and mini-refrigerator. If you're interested in a day of sightseeing in the city, the Financial District, where you can visit Wall Street and Battery Park, is only a 10-minute drive away.

One block from bus and train transportation, the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel is only one-half mile from the tennis complex at Flushing Meadows. The 173 crimson-colored guestrooms include a sitting area, mini-refrigerator and Internet access. For guests traveling with pets, the hotel provides dog beds when available. The hotel's casual yet intimate restaurant, Deluge, offers mood lighting and international cuisines. The Best Western Queens Court Hotel is approximately one mile from the U.S. Open tennis center and Shea Stadium, where the Mets play their home games. The 59 rooms, which have wrought-iron beds and a minimal decor, provide Internet access. This eight-story hotel offers 39 smoke-free rooms. Hotel amenities include meeting facilities that can accommodate 80 people, a fitness room and a complimentary breakfast.
