With its prestigious university founded in 1249, Oxford is one of Britain’s principal seats of learning. Woodstock Road runs for seven miles from the center of the city through the northern suburbs and into the countryside towards the village of Woodstock. Only one hotel has a Woodstock Road address, but several are within a few minutes' walk of the thoroughfare. Oxford is 60 miles northwest of London, a 90-minute drive or a one-hour train journey.

Housed in a contemporary building with curved roof lines, the Holiday Inn Oxford Hotel is set just back from Woodstock Road on the outskirts of Oxford, three miles from the center of the city. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, a sauna and a gym, and the on-site spa offers beauty treatments. Serving an international menu, the hotel restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A five-minute drive from the hotel, the North Oxford Golf Club’s 18-hole course is open to visitors.

Old Parsonage Hotel
