The Time Warner Cable Arena is home to Charlotte’s professional basketball and hockey teams. Hotels near the arena also sit within a short drive of Charlotte’s African American art center, professional football stadium, air museum, professional racecar track, children’s museum, interactive science center, airport, southern history museum or NASCAR museum. The Ritz-Carlton Charlotte is down the street from the arena and near the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Located about .7 miles from the arena, the Residence Inn Charlotte Uptown is within a 30-minute drive of the Carowinds Theme Park and the Charlotte Motor Speedway. A lobby with chandeliers, suites with brightly colored sofas and armchairs, a lobby lounge containing tall flower arrangements and a floral-patterned couch and a lobby dining area with a fireplace help to create an eclectic ambiance inside the hotel. Guest rooms and suites include kitchens with ovens, pots, silverware, cups, plates and dishwashers; tables with chairs for two to six people; and starter kits with snack foods, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies.
