The Port of Galveston on the north side of Galveston Island is home to a cruise ship terminal servicing Carnival and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Visitors will find cruises to many Caribbean and Central American destinations. Within a mile of the port are a few hotels offering convenient access to central Galveston and golden sand beaches.
Harbor House is a marine warehouse converted to a nautically themed hotel adjacent to the Galveston cruise ship terminal. The historic hotel built in 1911 offers guest rooms with ocean or city views, suites with spacious floor plans and ClearAir rooms that are hypoallergenic. An on-site, full-service spa features massages, a fitness facility and a whirlpool. Guests have access to a heated outdoor swimming pool, beach chairs and continental breakfast. Bernardo’s Restaurant in the hotel features fresh seafood with an ocean view.
Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort
Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort features a tropical landscape across the street from the beach. Guests are just over a mile from the Port of Galveston and can access many attractions within a mile, including the Treasure Isle Train Tour, Moody Mansion Museum and Grand 1894 Opera House.
