Hotels Near the Seattle Premium Outlet

by Joy Uyeno

The hotels near the Seattle Premium Outlets give guests easy access to the 110 high-end outlet stores, while providing amenities to help shoppers unwind after long days scouring the mall. Several of the hotels cater to guests by offering coupons and gift cards, as well as "shop and stay" packages.

Tulalip Resort & Casino

The Tulalip Resort and Casino is located less than one mile from the Seattle Premium Outlets on a Native American reservation. Each of the guest rooms are 500 square feet or larger and decorated with sleek, modern furnishings that are accented by Native American touches like local Coast Salish artwork. The hotel has an indoor pool with a glass atrium to make it feel like it's an outdoor experience. The business and fitness centers are open 24 hours. Guests take advantage of the hotel's spa packages and casino for a break from shopping. Dining options include the fine dining establishment Tulalip Bay, the seafood-centric Blackfish, the casual restaurant Cedars Cafe or the extensive spread at Eagles Buffet. For the 2009 Taste of Tulalip event, the resort was awarded the Washington Wine Restaurant Award for the "Best Event Featuring Wine" by the Washington Wine Commission.

Medallion Hotel

Located just four miles north of the outlets, the Medallion Hotel houses spacious guest rooms and suites. Every room comes with a king- or queen-sized bed and a workspace, while suites include kitchenettes. The King Spa Suites come with a hot tub. The Cellar Restaurant changes seasonally, serving dishes that reflect the Northwest with locally grown ingredients. The spa and salon offers massages, facials, nail and hair treatments. The "shop and stay" package offerings include a $50 gift card and a book with coupons to the shops at the outlet mall. Guests indulge in a complimentary hot breakfast before hitting the stores.

Best Western Navigator Inn & Suites

The Best Western Navigator Inn & Suites are a 20-minute drive from the Seattle Premium Outlets. The hotel has undergone renovations, and guest rooms are updated with contemporary furniture, down comforters and flat-screen televisions. All guests take advantage of the complimentary hot breakfast buffet, and from Monday through Thursday a free manager's reception with light fare is available. The outlet shopper package also includes a $50 gift card, tote bag and coupon book.

River Rock Inn

The River Rock Inn is a luxury bed and breakfast located about 10 miles east of the premium outlets. The owners of the inn, Bob and Lisa Watkins, tore down their house by hand in order to build their dream home. Part of that dream was to share the property with guests year round. The result is an expansive but cozy space with rich hardwood floors and soaring ceilings. Guest rooms include plush feather beds, pillowtop mattresses and jetted tubs, with fireplaces in the upper level suites. A spa is on site, and a fireside dining room serves breakfast, snacks and dinner. Shoppers take advantage of the "shop, stay, spa" package, which includes a two-night stay in one of the suites, two spa services, a $50 gift card to the outlets and breakfast.
